Overview

Economic, geopolitical, technological, environmental, and social upheavals have ushered in an era of both gradual and radical transformations in supply chain management (e.g., Covid, war in Ukraine, maritime piracy, etc.). In these times of increased turbulence, demand volatility, declining supply reliability, and the growing awareness of our planet's limited resources call for a more global, agile, and resilient approach to supply chain management. The social and ethical challenges related to the use of emerging technologies (Artificial Intelligence, Big Data Analytics, Internet of Things, Blockchain, automation, etc.) have become central to both practitioners and academic researchers. Furthermore, issues of equity, diversity, and social inclusion are increasingly emerging as key imperatives within supply chains. These evolving challenges naturally mobilize both the management science community and industrial engineering researchers. This conference offers a unique opportunity to bring together these two communities, which address similar issues through different methodological lenses.

The 16th edition of the AIRL-SCM conference aims to bring together researchers and professionals to exchange on their research work and on current and future applications in the professional world related to supply chain management.
